This policy explains how Mimo Learn handles information for parents, teachers and child learners. It is written by the Mimo Learn team for the families who use this platform.
Parent and teacher accounts: an email address and the details needed to sign in, plus any information a teacher chooses to submit during teacher verification.
Child profiles: only a display name, an age and an optional avatar. Children are not asked for an email address, phone number, home address or social profile.
Learning activity: lessons completed, quiz results, stories read, phonics and game progress, XP, achievements, certificates, creative work and live-class attendance.
Information is used to provide the learning experience: assigning an age-appropriate learning stage, saving progress across devices, showing parents their child's progress, running live classes with verified teachers, and keeping accounts secure.
Mimo Learn is designed as an ad-free environment and does not use learning data for advertising.
Parents can see the children associated with their own account.
Teachers can see information relevant to teaching children enrolled in their own classes.
Children cannot access another child's learning records. These boundaries are enforced by the backend, not only by the interface.
Mimo Learn relies on service providers to run the platform, including hosting, database and authentication services, and a live-video provider used for live classes. They process information only to provide those services to Mimo Learn.
Parents can update a child's age, delete a child profile and control access to live classes and optional AI-assisted features from the Parent Dashboard. To request access to or deletion of account information, contact us using the support contact associated with your account.
